Mattias Carlsson

Mattias comes from Mjölby outside Norrköping but has lived for the past 20 years  in Oslo.

In recent years, he has, among others. a. directed performances such as Optimist, Flashdance, West Side Story and Sister Act at Chateau Neuf and together with Teodor Janson directed Hilde Louise Asbjørnsens  Stardust at Christiania Theater.

He is also the man behind FLASHMOB during ESC Oslo 2010 . He has directed and / or choreographed major productions such as Crazy for you , The  Sound of Music , La Cage Aux Folles,  Allsång  at Skansen, Eurovision Song Contest, Melodi Grand Prix, Melodifestivalen and TV2  Artistgalla .

He has choreographed Disney's Mary Poppins at the Gothenburg Opera and directed and choreographed Chicago and the Addams Family (European premiere) in Norrköping.

He has his education from the Ballet Academy's Musical Theater line in Gothenburg and has also been on stage in several productions over the years. He has starred in the musicals Cyrano and My Fair Lady (Oscarsteatern), 42nd Street (Slagthuset) and Girl's Night Out (Palladium). We've seen him in Jekyll & Hyde and Oväder. Healso starred in Something Funny Happened On The Way To The Forum with Rolf Wesenlund at Chat Noir.

For the production The Wizard of Oz, Guys & Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof and Scarlet Pimpernel, Mattias has both choreographed and starred on stage. He is also one of the original members of the Swedish group Schlagerfeber.
