Lava

On February 29th there will be a leap year concert at Chateau Neuf with one of Norway's all-time biggest bands.

Lava was already established in 1977 and has had top musicians such as Geir Langslet, Olav Stedje, Sigurd Køhn, Rolf Graf, Per Kolstad, Marius Müller and Sidsel Endresen in the lineup. Often referred to as Norway's answer to the supergroup "Toto"

Today, the original members Egil Eldøen (vocals), Svein Dag Hauge (guitar) and Per Hillestad (drums) are still involved, reinforced by D`Sound's Jonny Sjo on bass and Frode Mangen on keyboards.

Earlier this year, the group was in the studio recording the album "Water". An album that shows that the group still has a pop and jazz-rock groove! The band already received the Spellemans prize in 1983 for the album "Fire", which followed the successes "Cruisin'" and "Prime Time" in the early 80s. In 1990 they released one of their best albums "Rhythm of love". In the early 2000s, the albums "Polarity" and "Alibi" came out. Now it is back, stronger than ever.

The concert is a must for those who grew up in the 80s and 90s and a necessity for those interested in music today. The guys promise fireworks on stage, on the leap year itself.
