The award-winning Broadway musical "Jersey Boys" which tells the true story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons is finally coming to Norway.
The musical has won 55 prestigious international awards, including an American Tony® and an English Oliver® for best musical. In addition, it has won a Grammy® and sold millions of tickets worldwide.
They were just four ordinary boys from Jersey, until they got their first hit. We follow the band from the beginning of their careers, through hard times with many personal defeats - and up to the overwhelming success that made the welcoming working class boys the symbol of an entire generation. They had a sound no one had heard before and the world could not get enough. By the time they turned 30, they had sold over 175 million albums!
But if the harmonies were perfect on stage, it was a completely different story privately, on its way to the top, with gambling debts, mafia connections, prison sentences, internal conflicts and unbearable grief. The quartet includes a. behind world hits such as "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Walk Like A Man", "Sherry", "December, 1963 (Oh What A Night)" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You". Here in Norway, many people know them as the original group behind Madcon's big hit "Beggin '".
In the roles you will find Atle Pettersen as Frankie Valli, Mathias Luppichini as Tommy DeVito, Thomas Stokke as Bob Gaudio and Alexander Langset as Nick Massi. In addition, there is a large ensemble and live orchestra.
Directed by Tore Sergei Myklebust, choreography by Kirsty McDonald, musical director is Hans Einar Apelland and set designer / costume design by Takis.
